Rs 2 lakh award for finding missing persons

The JAC in missing persons case said it will not withdraw their protest till the missing persons are found.

‘The Joint Action Committee for missing of Atom Samarendra Singh and Yumkhaibam Kirankumar Singh since May 6, 2023’ on Friday announced a cash reward of Rs 1 lakh each to anyone who can locate the missing two persons.

A release stated that one Atom Samarendra Singh, son of A Kishnamohon and Yumkhaibam Kirankumar Singh, son of Y Kalajit from Khumbong, went missing after they went out on a Renault Kwid car, silky silver colour, bearing registration number MN06 LX 0036, on May 6 at around 11am.

It stated that the JAC will not withdraw their protest till the missing persons are found. It also demanded the government to take full responsibility of the unfortunate incident took place in the wake of the communal clashes in Manipur.

The JAC appealed to the state government and CSO organisations of the state to extend necessary support in finding the two persons, considering it a state issue.

It also announced a cash reward of Rs 2 lakh, Rs 1 lakh each for the two persons to any individual who can locate them.
