Road mishap claims three lives in Kamjong district

A road mishap killed three labours transporting stones for 42 Assam Rifles stationed at Nambisha in Kamjong district.

Three labours died in a road mishap that occurred at Nambisha which is located around 20 km from Chassad police station in Kamjong district, on Wednesday.

The incident took place when a truck (Shaktiman- MN01-3862) with the three labours who were transporting stones for 42-AR at Nambisha overturned due to brake failure around 1 pm Wednesday.

According to police, the brake failure resulted in the mishap, and the three labours were crushed by the stones which the truck was carrying.

However, the driver survived and is being treated at Kamjong district hospital. He is said to be out of danger.

The deceased labours have been identified as Mayarngam Jajo, 32, son of Tadobrang Jajo from Nambashi; Dami Hungyo, 35, son of (L) Seirei Hungyo from Chatrik Khullen and K Yarngam, 33, son of ( L) Paomi Keishing from Bungba Khunou.
