A labourer of a road construction company died in a freak accident at Boljang which is situated 35 km west of Singhat police station in Churachandpur district around 2.15 am Thursday.

According to sources, the victim was identified as one Ravindra Ray, 28, son of Ganesh Ray from Dumka Village in Jharkhand. As a labourer of M&S Co, he had been working at the road construction at Makhoi Guite road, they added.
The sources said Ravindra met with an accident with the company car (Bolero). He was rushed to the District Hospital Churachandpur, where he succumbed to his injuries, they said.

The Singhat police has filed a case regarding the incident and the post-mortem was conducted on the body at the RIMS Mortuary, the sources added.
