To discuss and solve the present Manipur crisis together, BJP MLA RK Imo has urged those 10 Kuki MLAs who signed for ‘separate administration’ to attend the upcoming assembly session.
The state cabinet has recommended to Governor Anusuiya Uikey for summoning the 4th session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly on August 21.
The state cabinet sent the recommendation to discuss the prevailing turmoil that has been continuing since May 3 between Kuki and Meitei communities.
In a video uploaded in social media, the BJP MLA said, “Request all Legislators who signed for Separate Administration to come and attend the Assembly Session in Imphal, and discuss everything on the floor of the August House and try to solve all issues together,”
They should not fear for anything as the central government and state government will provide the tightest of security measures, he said. “We all will ensure the protection of each other,” he added.
However, those legislators from the political party who have supported for separate administration and also withdrew support from the state government should ideally resign from the August House as they should not be drawing salary from the state government/Assembly, enjoy all the perks of the government and yet speak against the State of Manipur, the BJP legislature from Imphal said.
