Director of Regional Institute of Medical Sciences (RIMS), Dr A Santa Singh on Friday inaugurated various units such as the newly constructed Departmental Store, PAC & Pain Management Clinic for department of Anaesthesiology, Elevator near OT Complex and Utility Block.
Dr Shanta stated that by inaugurating such new buildings, facilities and advanced Laparoscopic equipment, the institute will be able to serve the patients and employees in a better way. Many facilities are also in pipelines for inauguration, he informed.
The newly constructed Elevator will enable the patients to move comfortably from the ground floor to first floor of OT Block, the director said, adding that the patients and staff will immensely benefit from this Utility Block. Many Departmental Stores, Pharmacy Stalls (to sell generic medicine), fruit stalls, barber, and other facilities will be available to the Utility Block, he added.
On August 30, Dr Santa inaugurated a newly constructed 50-bedded ladies security barrack of RIMS.
A press release by media advisor of RIMS, N Phillip, informed that Prof Santa, in his speech, stated that the institute has been providing a campus where any students feel safe to stay and most of the hostels are provided with CCTV surveillance for the betterment of the students.
