An inaugural function of 6TH ISACON–NE and 5th annual ISACON organised by Indian Society of Anaesthesiologists Manipur State Branch was held at Jubilee Hall, RIMS, Imphal on Sunday.
RIMS director professor G Sunil Kumar Sharma, honorary president, ISA NHQ professor JV Divitia, medical superintendent, RIMS Hospital, Imphal professor N Sanjib Singh attended the function as chief guest, president and guest of honour respectively, stated a release.
Sunil Kumar stated that the department of Anaesthesiology has excelled above all the departments, it said. It has now become the biggest serving department and provides manpower while bearing the patient load, it mentioned. He further said that medical science is solely dependent on anaesthesiology.
He showed his gratitude to RIMS anaesthesiology department for supporting the whole system. He said that the department of Anaesthesiology can come up with most specialized requirements to work forward and give the best to the society, it stated.
The programme was attended by all HODs, officials, invitees, experts from outside states, delegates, and staff of RIMS, Imphal, it added.
