The Meitei Christian Churches Council (MCCCM) on Sunday stated that some of the 251 Meitei Churches, which were burned and dismantled during the current communal violence between the Meitei and Kuki communities, have been reportedly included in the list of Kuki Churches on a writ petition.

In a release, MCCCM strongly condemned this attempt “to align the Meitei churches with that of Kukis in the said petition.”
