Red Cross Society helps fire victim

A team of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur state branch extended emergency aid to the victims of poll violence whose houses were burnt down by unidentified persons.

A team of Indian Red Cross Society (IRCS), Manipur state branch led by chairman Dr Y Mohen on Sunday extended emergency aid to the victims of poll violence whose houses were burnt down by unidentified persons.

The IRCS team shared the sorrows of the families of Naorem Tomal Singh, Naorem Milan Singh and Rakesh Naorem, sons of Naorem Chaoba Singh and Naorem (O) Borni Devi, whose houses were burnt down by unidentified miscreants suspected to be Congress supporters on Friday.

The event was attended by IRCS, Manipur State Branch secretary RK Nimai, Imphal East District chairman Narendra Ningomba and Premjit Naoroibam, and other members.

Speaking on the occasion, Narendra Ningomba said the culprit behind the “inhumane” act of burning people’s houses will be punished by god.

Stating that the Indian Red Cross Society has always provided aid to victims of such incidents, he mentioned that the team had provided the families with essential items such as healthcare kits, mosquito net and kitchen items etc.

Touched by the support of the Indian Red Cross Society team, Naorem Tomal on behalf of his family of 16 members extended their appreciation.
