Manipur Social Welfare Minister H Dingo on Sunday expressed his unwavering commitment to safeguard Manipur in the face of the ongoing unrest in the state.
“I am prepared to make the ultimate sacrifice to protect the integrity of Manipur,” Dingo said while speaking to the media in Imphal.
Dingo, who represents the Sekmai constituency, emphasised that it is his responsibility as an elected representative to align himself with the sentiments and aspirations of his people.
Lamenting the loss of three lives, including the recent fatality in Phayeng, he said two people from his constituency are still missing. He conveyed his deepest condolences to the bereaved families, expressing his profound sadness over the unfortunate incidents.

Saying that the government is working tirelessly to restore normalcy in Manipur, he called upon the people of the state to extend their support to the government's initiatives aimed at restoring peace and harmony.
Dingo also highlighted his recent meeting with Union Home Minister Amit Shah in Guwahati where the team from Manipur were given the assurance that the Central government will take necessary steps to restore normalcy in Manipur.
Amit Shah will be visiting Manipur on Monday to engage in peace talks with all concerned parties, with the aim of fostering amicable and lasting peace and harmony in Manipur, he added.
As Manipur grapples with the current unrest, Dingo's resolute commitment and his willingness to make personal sacrifices for the welfare of the state sends a strong message of unity and determination.
