Public meetings against separate administration in Manipur

A series of public meetings organised in various parts of Manipur reiterated stand against "no separate administration" in Manipur.

Public meetings under the banner ‘No Separate Administration in Manipur’ were organised by the All Manipur United Clubs’ Organisation (AMUCO) along with the respective clubs and Meira Paibis at various places in the state on Tuesday.

A release issued by AMUCO secretary Laishram Krishnachandra Khuman stated that the meetings were held at Rising Community Hall Top Mayai Leikai, Keishamthong Keithel, Ahanthem Leikai Community Hall, Pishum Keithel, Ningombam Leirak Community Hall, Mongsangei Awang Leikai, Mongsangei Mamang Leikai, Heirangoithong maning YMDO club, and Ningthemcha Karong Khongnangmakhong, etc.

The event was attended by AMUCO former president Ito Elangbam, president Ph Nando Luwang, COHR chairman Phulindro Konsham and Irabot Foundation president Kh Gopen, it mentioned.

During the meeting, the attendees discussed various agendas, including speedy rehabilitation of the displaced victims, better security for the people, stopping militarisation in Manipur, stopping playing of communal card, withdrawal of SoO immediately, for the government to take up suitable action immediately, flushing out of terrorists from Manipur and no separate administration in Manipur etc., it added.
