The Yelhou Mee Kanba Lup (YEMKAL) on Monday said people of the state are hopeful that the government will work in their interest, while resolving the prevailing crisis situation in the state.
YEMKAL, in a release, pressed several demands to the government, including rehabilitation of the affected victims and ensuring they regain their original land, implementation of NRC and formation of the indigenous people protection law of Manipur.
It also extolled brave womenfolk and individuals who are striving day and night to protect the state’s integrity at all costs.
It called upon various civil society organisations and everyone to extend their efforts and stand firm in unity to safeguard the indigenous people of the state.
