An active member of the proscribed KCP (PWG) was arrested from his home at Chingmeirong Maning Leikai, Imphal East by a special commando team on Monday.
On receiving an input, the CDO team led by officer in charge L Bebekananda Singh assisted by SI Kayel Kumar Singh under the supervision by Th Krishnatombi SP/Railways and in charge special commando Manipur Police and immediately rushed at his house and conducted cordon and search.
While conducting the cordon and search, the cadre was found at his house and he was picked up for verification. On preliminary verification, he identified himself as Usham Rameshwor, 34, son of Usham Jugindro Singh from Chingmeirong Maning Leikai, Imphal East, and disclosed that he is an active member of KCP (PWG).
He further disclosed that he joined KCP in 2018 through one Kiran Singh from Thangmeiband Sinam Leikai. He further disclosed that he is working in the finance section under the command of Lamyanba Khuman. He has collected about Rs 1 Lakh from the hospitals and clinics at the porompat side and handed over the same to Lamyanba Khuman as party fund of KCP( people war group).
He was arrested at 8 pm from his house by preparing a formal arrest memo. One mobile (redmi 5g red in colour) phone and one adhaar card, bearing Aadhaar No. 203713210723 from his possession were also seized at 8.05 pm by preparing a seizure memo.
The arrested person and seized items were handed over for further necessary legal action against him.
