Prerna Utsav cum Cultural Fest 2023-24 kicked off on Friday in Churachandpur district at Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya, Tuinon in Churachandpur, an initiative of the Ministry of Education, Department of School Education & Literacy, Government of India.
The occasion, which was mainly made to empower the youth of India by the government of India, will be a 2-day event. During the event, a competition on Patriotism Poem Recitation (on the choice of the student), patriotic song, spot Paintings and essay writing will be held.
The theme for the participating students for the spot competition will be on ‘My Vision for India and Viksit Bharat’ which is a vision to make India a developed nation by 2047 in celebration of 100th years of Indian Independence.
Altogether, 70 schools from Churachandpur district are participating while four schools pulled as they were on vacation.
Today’s events included Patriotic poem recitation, a football match exhibition between four schools.
The mentor of the programme, Vikram Singh, who is also the principal of JNV Tuinon, in his keynote address said that the programme was also about those curriculum that are not usually imparted in educational institutions like promoting culture of those diverse communities of India so as to be one to build a greater India that will shine and uphold the integrity and secularism of India.
Vikram Singh also thanked all the participating schools for their participation saying that 30 students will be selected by the panelists who will undergo training at Gandhinagar, Gujarat after which two students will be selected by the Ministry of Education, GoI.
