Power lines to Churachandpur intentionally damaged, student body alleges

The Joint Students’ Body (JSB), Lamka, Churachandpur district on Tuesday alleged that the three power lines to Churachandpur were intentionally damaged and condemned the incident.  

It has left Churachandpur and its surrounding areas without electricity for the past five days, beginning from Friday, stated a release.

The damage has affected patients and students with many of them scheduled to take various levels of examinations, including central and state board exams, and have been unable to adequately prepare due to lack of power, it stated.

It mentioned that “the power outage is not simply a violation of our fundamental human rights. It violates our fundamental right to life under Article 21 of the Indian Constitution.”

The student body will take every legal action to guarantee that individuals involved be punished to the fullest extent of the law, it added.
