Postal voting centre opened for AVES Voters

Postal voting centre opened at Panchayat Bhavan, DC office complex, Porompat on April 14, 15 and 16 respectively from 9 am to 5 pm.

Office of the District Election Officer, Imphal East, Government of Manipur, has informed that Postal Voting Centre (PVC) has been opened for Absentee Voters in Essential Service category (AVES Voters) in respect of Imphal East District.

As per the latest order issued by District Election Officer, Imphal East, Khumanthem Diana Devi on Saturday, the postal voting centre is opened at Panchayat Bhavan, DC office complex, Porompat on April 14, 15 and 16 respectively from 9 am to 5 pm on said dates.

It mentioned that Branch Officer, DC Office Imphal East, Hemabati Yumnam has been detailed as Officer-in-Charge of the Postal Voting Centre (PVC). It further informed all the absentee voters who had applied for postal ballot papers in the AVES category to avail the facility on the stipulated date and time.

The order is issued in view of the ensuing General Elections to the 18th Lok Sabha, 2024 and in pursuance of para no.16.2.1 of ECI letter No.52/2023/SDR/Vol.IV dated October 31, 2023 regarding casting of vote through Postal Ballot by AVES voters, it added.
