A training programme on post-harvest management for Rumril Organic Farmers’ Producers Company Limited, Tengnoupal district was organised by the Diocesan Social Service Society (DSSS) at Khulsaibung Village Community Hall in Chandel district on Wednesday.

The training programme was organised under the mission of organic value chain development for the North Eastern Region phase (III) and the support of the Manipur Organic Mission Agency (MOMA) and Horticulture and Soil Conservation Department, government of Manipur.

Rumril Farmers Producer Company Limited chairman Kh Benedict Konai gave the keynote address and said that the training programme was held to provide knowledge to the turmeric and ginger growers of the Rumril society.

Horticulture department, Machi Block in charge Narendra spoke on how to harvest the products and how to preserve them safely for future use. The training programme was attended by the farmers of Rumril Farmers Producer Company Limited, Tengnoupal district.
