A Pony Rally was flagged off from All Manipur Polo Association Ground, Iroisemba by state PWD Minister K Govindas on Wednesday as part of the World Wetland Day celebration and under the theme "Save Nambul, Save Loktak".

The Loktak Development Authority (LDA) is organising a two-day celebration of World Wetland Day, which falls on February 2.
Addressing the gathering, Govindas stressed on ecological imbalance impact on human beings and called for planting more trees. To maintain solid waste management, he urged against throwing waste on the road while driving.

The minister also assured of developing the oldest polo ground of Iroisemba and KRYPHSA ground of Naoremthong.
