Professor Nongmaithem Tombi commended the Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur for its role in releasing ‘Thamoi Machet,’ a poetry collection of Kshetrimayum Madhabi, a female poet from Tripura of Manipuri origin, on Monday at Loktak Hall of Manipur Press Club.
Former president of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Imphal professor Nongmaithem Tombi, president of PAWF Naoroibam Khamba Luwang, president of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Tripura, Langoljam Biramangal, advisor of the Parishad, Wangkhem Biramagal Singha and RK Tarunjit, joint editor of Marup Newspaper, Tripura, among others attended the event.
Ksh Madhabi expressed heartfelt gratitude to PAWF, Manipur for their support in bringing her collection, which she had held onto for the past 25 years, into the public eye.
The poems in Thamoi Machet reflect her personal journey and society’s landscape. She further expressed her commitment to continue expressing her voice through poetry.
Notably, eight delegates from Tripura were also honoured during the event.
