The Kangla Laiphamlen Ipudhou Marjing Ibendhou Khumuleima Ibudhou Nongda Lairen Pakhangba Ibendhou Yaisana Thougal Loishang has conveyed their request to Chief Minister N Biren Singh and the relevant authorities for permission to conduct traditional rituals at the sacred Kangla site.

A release by the thougal loisang on Friday outlines the organisation’s desire to perform the customary rituals of Mera Hou Chongba and Chaorel Houba within the Kangla premises. These rituals are expected to span over a period of 15 days, it mentioned.

In these challenging times in Manipur, the Meitei organisation seeks the opportunity to carry out these significant traditions within the sacred Kangla area.
