Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF), Manipur on Wednesday announced to Manipuri writers in and outside Manipur to submit their patriotic short stories for nomination of ‘Imalon gi Numit’ (Day of the Mother-tongue) awards ceremony on August 20.
In a release, PAWF stated that it has been organising the ‘Imalon gi Numit’ on August 20, the day in which Manipuri language was included in the Eighth Schedule languages of India.
It invited the writers of Manipuri language to submit their original patriotic short stories for the nomination of the awards ceremony till July 10. Awards to be presented during the ceremony are ‘Pacha Meetei Literary Award 2022’, ‘R Kathing Tangkhul Literary Award 2022’ and ‘Dr Saroj Nalini Arambam Parratt Literary Award 2022’, it mentioned.
It continued that the submission must include the writer’s bio data, passport photograph and three softcopy of the short stories, it informed. The submission can be submitted to Ipak Offset Press at Keishamthong Hodam Leirak Machin, Tiddim Road, Imphal or the PAWF office.
