A new organisation named Democratic Regeneration Alliance, Manipur (DREAM) was formed on Wednesday with an aim to promote oneness, strengthening cordial times among the various communities and protecting the state’s integrity.
A meeting was held at Performing Arts Centre (PAC) near DDK Porompat in Imphal East district, a release stated.
During the meeting, attendees unanimously took various resolutions, including to launch a protest on war against drugs, demanding implementation of NRC, tackling narco-terrorism, repealing draconian AFSPA, 1958 and curbing price hikes of essential commodities among others, it stated.
It also resolved to work alongside like-minded progressive organisations against anti-people policies, it mentioned.
The meeting also selected 14 new office bearers, including president, vice presidents, secretary general and others, it added.
