The District Legal Services Authority, Chandel, in collaboration with district sdministration, under the aegis of Manipur State Legal Services Authority, organised a one-day legal awareness programme on “Government Social Welfare Schemes and Sensitisation on Tele Law Legal Services” as a part of Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav campaign at Multi-Purpose Hall, Mini Secretariat Complex, Chandel district.
Retainer lawyer of District Legal Services Authority, Jacky Lucy, and member secretary CWC, Tengnoupal, Darngam Khaling, were the resource persons of the programme.
Darngam Khaling spoke on the social welfare schemes focusing on women, children and highlighted the procedures on availing such schemes in the district.
Jacky Lucy also highlighted the Tele Law Legal Services system and talked on the benefits of tele law explaining its mechanisms. She further encouraged the participants to download the Tele Law application and avail free legal services.
