Manipur Health and IPR Minister Dr Sapam Ranjan Singh has said that nurses share more time with patients.
Dr Ranjan was speaking as chief guest on the occasion of Foundation Day and Oath Taking Ceremony of the first Semester BSc Nursing Students of the College of Nursing, Lamphelpat.
The occasion was attended by Dr Kh Shasheekumar Mangang, Director Health Services, Manipur, Dr N Surbala Devi, Principal, College of Nursing Lamphelpat, Lalbiekmol, Joint Director, Nursing and Th Nandarani, Registrar, Manipur Nursing Council as President and Guests of Honour respectively.
Speaking about patient’s care, the minister said, "The temperament to be nurse is there in us and is there in our blood, that is the reason our nurses are very popular and many of them got placement job in big hospitals outside the state".
Dr Ranjan and his team inspected the work progress and preparedness of the Churachandpur Medical College, and the Ayush Hospital, Moulvaiphei, Churachandpur and advised the concerned agency and contractor for completion of the structure at the earliest.
The minister was accompanied by State Mission Director, NHM, Manipur Dr Somorjit Ningombam, Director Ayush, Dr A Guneshwaor Sharma, Joint Director, Deputy Secretary (Health) and others.
