The Union submitted a letter to the Director of Education (S) and even had a meeting on August 1, stated a release. Regarding the conditions of the Naga Students in the jurisdiction of NSUC, a verbal assurance was given by the Director Education (S) and assured the NSUC on the day of meeting to discuss with his higher ups the situations faced by the Naga students at the earliest, it stated.

The said assurance has not materialised till date and the Union cannot remain a mere spectator, it mentioned.  The Union is perturbed over the ‘diktats’ allegedly served to the students to take TC/NOC plus subject change on huge payments, it stated.

The union questioned if the school authorities can give 100 percent assurance over the safety of the students, stating that not only the students but the Nagas are affected by the prevailing unrest in the state.
