One self-styled sergeant major of the NSCN (I-M) allegedly committed suicide by shooting himself  at Choro village (Shelter) at Kamjong disrict around 1.30 am on Thursday. 

The deceased has been identified as one Mathotmi alias Athot from Komla Ching, Yairipok in Thoubal district, as per sources. He allegedly shot himself dead with an AK-47 at NSCN camp at Zingsophai Choro under Chassad Police Station in Kamjong district.

He was under the leadership of self-styled major Akhan from Chatric in Kamjong district. The reason for his alleged suicide as cited as psychological issues which he had been suffering from the past few days like seeing ghost, talking to self, etc., as per the sources. There are roughly seven-eight cadres under the leadership of major Akhan, it added.
