A large group of women, expressing woes at the prevailing unrest in Manipur, said Manipur has no place for a separate administration.
On Tuesday, at Nongmeibung Multipurpose community hall, a sit-in protest was held by Nongmeibung Women Development Meira Paibi Association, demanding the state government led by Chief Minister N Biren to solve the prevailing communal tension at the earliest.
“No separate administration at any cost, Go back Chin-Kuki separatist foreigners,” one of the placards read.
Among the protesting women, one Mutum Subita told the media that "there is absolutely no place for a separation administration". She also said security forces should be deployed at danger zone and protect them.
She also threated that if the state government failed to bring peace and harmony in the state then mothers (Ema) will come out to protect the land.
