A new educational resource, titled "Item Designing and Test Development," authored by Naorem Ingoucha Singh and Akoijam Pete Meitei, was launched on Saturday at a function held at Ibotombi Institute of Education, Canchipur, Imphal.
The book, comprising 11 comprehensive chapters, delves into various aspects of test development and assessment frameworks.
It covers essential topics such as key steps in test development, formulation of assessment frameworks, designing test papers, preparation of test items, and detailed insights into types of questions and their methodologies.
The launch event grace by esteemed guests including S Gunadhor, retired reader of Imphal College, and Prof Premlata Maisnam from Manipur University, featured reviews of the book's content and scholarly contributions.
Attendees also included RK Bijen Singh, Principal of Ibotombi Institute of Education; N Rajivkumar, Principal of Institute of Rural Education; and Dhiren Phanjoubam, HOD of Education at Standard College.
"This book is a significant addition to the field of education, offering practical guidance and insights into the nuances of test design and evaluation," said Naorem Ingoucha Singh.
