Former minister and sitting BJP MLA of Kangpokpi assembly constituency Nemcha Kipgen’s candidacy in the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 was officially declared on Tuesday at El-Shaddai Blessed Home at Kangpokpi town during her flag hoisting programme after she was given the BJP ticket.
The public declaration cum flag hoisting programme was attended by president, BJP Manipur Pradesh, Adhikarimayum Sharda Devi, along with many other party leaders and workers of the state and the district apart from BJP intending candidate core committee and supporters.
BJP Manipur Pradesh president A Sharda Devi hoisted the BJP flag as a mark of blessing and declaration of Nemcha Kipgen as the BJP candidate from Kangpokpi in the presence of the intending candidate, the BJP Sadar Hills president, BJP Kangpokpi Mandal president, and other dignitaries.
Sharda Devi highlighted the various achievements of the BJP government in the state and the historic record of holding cabinet meetings in the hill districts by the BJP government which had never occurred in the history of Manipur.
She also emphasised the efforts of the BJP government to bridge the gap between the hills and the valley by introducing various developmental schemes such as Go To Hills, Go to Villages, etc. to bring equal development in the hills and valley.
The BJP Manipur Pradesh President also conveyed her confidence that BJP will get an absolute majority in the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 and formed a strong government to bring a sea change of development in the state.
Highlighting the various developments in Kangpokpi assembly constituency under the leadership of Nemcha Kipgen as the lone woman BJP MLA in the previous term, A Sharda Devi exhorted the people of Kangpokpi assembly constituency to maintain their support and cooperation in the upcoming election and vote her to power again for more development and changes.
Nemcha Kipgen while greeting her supporters and people of Kangpokpi AC said that Kangpokpi AC has been witnessing tremendous changes and development under the BJP government. She extended her gratitude to the Central and state leaders for keeping faith and trust in her and allotting the party ticket to her for the ensuing election.
Nemcha also said that she will fight the election peacefully and win the election successfully with the support and cooperation of the people so that the party ticket allotted to her does not go in vain in the larger interest and welfare of the people.
Reverend Thangsat Kipgen performed the blessing ceremony of the BJP intending candidate Nemcha Kipgen and invoked the blessing prayer for her during the program.
Earlier, Haokholal Hangshing made the official declaration of Nemcha Kipgen as the BJP candidate for the ensuing 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly Election 2022 in 50-Kangpokpi AC as the head of the candidate’s family after his wife Tingneilhing Hangshing made the offering for Nemcha Kipgen.
Political leaders who attended as special guests and many other prominent leaders of the constituency and district also spoke on the occasion.
