As a preparatory measure for the upcoming National Lok Adalat, an interactive meeting was organised by Manipur State Legal Services Authority (MASLSA) in connection with the first National Lok Adalat for the year 2022 which is to be organized on March 12, 2022.

National Legal Services Authority (NALSA) is committed to deliver prompt and inexpensive justice to the citizens. Recently, it has decided to lay more emphasis on contribution of National Lok Adalat in effectively reducing the number of pending cases through Alternative Dispute Mechanisms.
To achieve the goal, the Legal Services Authorities shifted to dynamic preparation strategies for organization of the Lok Adalats.
As a preparatory measure, NALSA started organisation of prior consultative and review meetings with all the State Legal Services Authorities to guide them towards maximum disposal during such Lok Adalats.
The National Lok Adalat will be conducted in offline mode for the pending court cases. For pre-litigation matters relating to bank, telephone and others, it will be conducted in online mode through video conferencing.
It is to be noted that due to COVID-19 pandemic, the conventional physical Lok Adalats have now shifted to online Lok Adalats in which lok adalat is conducted in virtual mode by using simple video conferencing applications.
