The Nambol Kongkham Youth Club and Library have drawn the attention of the government to look into the deteriorating road condition along the Kanna-Khong (Canal) from Nambol Kongkham till Uttrapat in Nambol.
The club said that four-wheeler vehicles were able to commute through the route before the 2022 assembly election. However, now even pedestrians are facing difficulties in commuting the road after it was dug out in the name of road widening under the education minister and Nambol MLA Th Basantakumar just after the 2022 election, they stated.
People of the area raised a complaint to the minister to repair the road at the earliest after the 2022 flood and the minister also assured to repair it before the 2023 rainy season.
The Nambol Kongkham Youth Club and Library appealed to the authorities concerned to repair the road at the earliest by looking into the problems faced by the farmers and local residents.
