The 6th Biennial convention of Manipuri Association of Canada (MAC) was organised on Saturday reportedly in the presence of Chief Minister N Biren Singh and PWD and Sports Minister Govindas Konthoujam online.
In a release, MAC stated that the association had observed its 6th Biennial convention with online viewers across the world. It stated that the convention featured musical performances from renowned artists of Manipur, including Pushparani, Chitra, Pinky, Arbin and Kennedy, along with a comedy performance by the ‘Nokphade team’, followed by a talent show performed by Manipuri kids across Canada, it mentioned.
It continued that as part of the programme, new executive members of the association for the year 2022-2024 were also elected. MAC has been dedicated to assisting Manipuris in pursuing higher education, immigration in Canada, and delivering aids in trying times for the people of Manipur as well, it added.
