MSCU president calls for unity among all members

The re-elected president of the Manipur State Co-operative Union (MSCU) 2023, L Tompishak, has called for unity among all the members of the union to bring sustainable development in the co-operative sectors of Manipur.

L Tompishak was elected as the president of the union for the third consecutive term on Wednesday during the managing body members election held at MSCU office in Imphal West.

Meanwhile, Neilangam Gangmei and Khundongbam Maniton were elected as vice-presidents of the union in the category of hill and valley respectively, besides electing another 18 managing body members.

Speaking to the media, Tompishak assured to bring all new changes in the co-operation sectors of Manipur by giving his full dedication and efforts with all the support he gets from the members.

Admitting that his last term as a president of the union was a big struggle due to facing as many as 20 cases by the union, he said, this term will be the starting of a new era of the co-operative sector.

Clarifying on the allegation of corruption levelled against him by a member of Khochinjang Dairy Farming Society, he said that the allegation is totally baseless; it is an attempt to tarnish his image in connection with Wednesday's election.
