Manipur Information Commission (MIC) on Friday directed the SPIO of Manipur Public Service Commission (MPSC) to allow three candidates of MCSCC main exam-2016, which was held in 2022, to inspect or examine all their respective answer sheets.
The chief information commissioner of MIC, Oinam Sunil Singh on Friday directed the SPIO MPSC to allow three candidates namely, Begum Khaleda Bogie, Nawaj Sharif, and Kh Robindro Singh to examine their answer sheets.
The three candidates filed their respective RTI applications on November 24, 2022; January 12, 2022 and December 8, 2022, to the SPIO/Deputy Secretary, MPSC, seeking information in connection with the Manipur Civil Services Combined Competitive (Mains) Examination 2016 held in the year 2022 from May 26, 2022, to June 1, 2022, under Section 6 (1) of the RTI Act, 2005.
In a number of instances, the public authority of the MPSC has allowed inspection of records or documents as asked by the applicants or appellants. In an earlier RTI case, the MPSC had allowed the MPSC to inspect the answer scripts in the Manipur Combined Engineering Services (Written) Examination, 2013 for recruitment of Assistant Engineers held in 2013 as asked by an RTI applicant.
The Commission directed the SPIO (MPSC) to allow the three appellants to inspect and examine all the answer sheets for the MCSCC mains examination that was held in the year 2022 (i.e., from May 26, 2022, to June 11, 2022) within four weeks from the commission decision of April 24.
