Manipur People’s Party (MPP) on Saturday condoled the untimely demise of former party central committee member Irengbam Ibohanbi from Hirom Leikai, Bamon Kampu in Kshetrigao Assembly Constituency.
Ibohanbi passed away after battling a prolonged illness on Friday at the age of 78, stated a release. MPP eulogised Ibohanbi for his immense contributions and efforts to the party and its welfare, it said.
Party members and office bearers led by MPP senior vice president Yengkokpam Priyokumar also observed a two-minute silence as a mark of respect to the departed soul, it mentioned., The party’s flag was also flown at half-mast in tribute to Ibohanbi, it added.
