Mother-daughter duo boycotted from Bamon Leikai

The local bodies resolved to boycott the maternal family of Sandhyarani if they failed to follow the resolution of the local bodies.

Locals of New Checkon, Imphal East reportedly detained eight persons while trying to take out belongings of a displaced family from an abandoned house on Friday. Following the incident, local bodies of Bamon Leikai have permanently boycotted two persons involved in the incident.

After the incident where the eight persons were reportedly detained by the locals of New Checkon area alleging transportation of belongings from an abandoned house, Bhramapur Social Club and Bhramapur Lalji Lakpa Leikai Apunba Meira Paibi held a meeting.

The meeting resolved that Salam Ongbi Sandhyarani Devi, 42, wife of Salam Sanjit Singh of Singjamei Chingamathak Nameirakpam Leikai and her daughter Leishangthem Pushpa, 23, wife of Leishangthem Jacqlin of Churachandpur Mandop Leikai are not related with Lalji Lakpa Leikai, Bamon Leikai.

They further resolved Sandhyarani is permanently boycotted from the locality and she cannot enter her maternal house. The local bodies further resolved to boycott the maternal family of Sandhyarani if they failed to follow the resolution of the local bodies.
