A mobile application on the district disaster management was launched on Tuesday by deputy commissioner of Churachandpur and chairman of DMMA, Pawan Yadav in the conference hall of DC office at Tuibong, Churachandpur.
The mobile app is an initiative by Centre for Community Initiative (CCI) and sponsored by Christoffel-Blindenmission (CBM) as an emergency activity concerning the pandemic COVID-19.
During the launching programme, Pawan said that apart from the crisis of COVID-19, the initiative by CCI will be helpful for the public as the app shows important locations in the district like Churachandpur which is located at Seismic Zone V wherein earthquakes can happen anytime. He also appreciated CCI for having 30 volunteers ready for emergency cases, which is the key requirement during the time of disastrous situations.
The launching programme was also attended by SP of Churachandpur and other officials from CCI.
