MLA Tongbram Robindro on Wednesday took charge as chairman of MSPDCL and was felicitated by the officials of the department at its office located at Secure Building in Imphal East.
The chairmanship of MSPDCL was handed over to the MLA by Chief Minister N Biren on July 14 evening, considering his immense dedication to serve the people of Manipur.
Soon after taking charge as the chairman, Robindro chaired a closed-door meeting with the top officials of the MSPDCL and discussed various strategies that need to be taken up for strengthening the department.
Speaking to the media after the meeting, Robindro extended his gratitude to chief minister N Biren for giving him the opportunity to serve as the chairman of MSPDCL.
“I look forward to the new challenges this new position provides and promise to work at my best level to strengthen the department,” he said.
Calling on all the teams of MSPDCL to work transparently and sincerely, he further apprised the people to bring the tri-colour home and hoist it to mark the 75th year of India’s independence as a part of the ‘Har Ghar Tiranga’ campaign.
