MLA RK Imo launches ‘Go to Leikai’ mission

The “Go to Leikai-Yumthong Khuding Anouba Mangal” mission was kicked off from ward number 10 of Sagolband constituency and will cover all the wards in a phase manner, MLA RK Imo said.

In an effort to reach out to every population of his constituency Sagolband and make them avail all government schemes and programmes, MLA RK Imo Singh launched “Go to Leikai-Yumthong Khuding Anouba Mangal” mission at Thiyam Leikai Community Hall, Imphal on Friday.

The programme was kicked off from ward number 10 of the constituency and will cover all the wards in a phase manner, the MLA said. He said it will be held for ward number 7 at Thangjam Leirak on July 20, ward number 8 at Kangabam Leikai on July 25 and ward number 24 at Kakhulong on July 29.

The programme was organised by Sagolband Constituency Progressive Committee (SCPC) and Sagolband BJP Mandal.

Addressing the function, the MLA said that to launch the programme “Go to Leikai”, which is derived from the concept of “Go to Village” and “Go to Hill” mission, was his long-cherished dream.

The main purpose of the programme is to bring inclusive development in the constituency by making eligible persons avail all government schemes and programmes in a simplified way, the MLA said.

With the help of this programme, beneficiaries can avail various services without much hassle or difficulties.

Some of the available services are making of Chief Minsiter gi Hakshelgi Tengbang, Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana, Aadhar card, birth certificate and death certificate, labour card apply for all benefits given under social welfare, e-Shram, health care treatment provided under Chief Minister’s Health for All scheme and COVID-19 vaccination for all doses, he said.

While appealing to people of the constituency to avail the service, he said that there is a need for cooperation from people of the constituency to fulfil the objective of the programme.

As the programme is being launched, there might be loopholes. However, good effort will be given to ensure that the programme reaches out to all the people in the constituency, he added.

As a part of the programme, financial assistance worth Rs 20,000 each was also distributed to 16 patients who are undergoing treatment under MLA Ana Layeng gi Tengbang.

Over 90 patients have benefitted from this scheme provided from the MLA's own expenses exclusively for cancer, kidney and heart patients.
