MLA Radheshaym flags off agniveer aspirants

The aspiring agniveer candidates of Heirok AC who passed the agniveer physical test were flagged off for their written test to be held on January 14 at Rangapahar, Assam.

Heirok MLA and advisor to the chief minister, Thokchom Radheshyam, on Thursday flagged off aspiring agniveer candidates of Heirok AC who passed the agniveer physical test for their written test to be held on January 14 at Rangapahar, Assam. Physical test of the Agnipath scheme was held in the last week of November, 2022.

Speaking at the flagging off ceremony held at Heirok part (ii) Mayai leikai ground, MLA Radhehyam remembered the birth anniversary of Swami Vivekanada. He also said that his birth anniversary is being celebrated as National Youth Day across the country.

He encouraged the aspiring agniveer candidates of Heirok and also appreciated all the candidates from across the country who are willing to take great responsibilities for the motherland.

He also wished the candidates success in their journey and recalled the great works and sacrifices of Swami Vivekanada for the country to encourage the youths.

The MLA also acknowledged the teachers, staff of Agnipath scheme pre-recruitment training centre Heirok and in-charge of the centre L. Rajmani for their support and cooperation.

It may be mentioned that two Agnipath scheme pre-recruitment training centres were opened in Heirok under the guidance of MLA Thokchom Radheshyam in June 2022 at two different places. The MLA himself taught English and Hindi languages to the candidates during the training session. Around 45,000 agniveers will be recruited under the government of India.
