Tamenglong MLA Janghemlung Panmei on Wednesday reviewed development works in Tamenglong district headquarter along with district administration and companies engaged in development work.
On the occasion, Janghemlung said, “We will focus on Tamenglong- Khongsang road construction and Imphal- Kangchup – Tamenglong road as these two roads are lifelines of Tamenglong district.” If these roads are completed, some changes will take place, he added. He also assured all possible help to complete road construction.
After listening to the issues faced during the road construction sponsored by Hindustan Construction Company and Asian Development Bank, Janghemlung along with officials immediately inspected the road construction site where some civil organisations complained about the narrowness of the road.
At the construction site, he instructed the district administration to meet all the land owners and negotiate and bring an amicable solution.
He also inspected the town road and told the media persons that the construction of town road will be included in the 100-day work programme.
He also visited the science stream college construction site and informed them that construction works will soon begin.
