Ministerial team inspects health infrastructure in Chandel

A ministerial team visited Chandel and held a meeting with the district Administration, district level officers and health project partners, during which various primary and subsidiary health-related issues were discussed.

A ministerial team led by Union Minister of State for Health and Family Welfare Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar and state Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr S Ranjan Singh on Tuesday paid an inspectional visit to the District Hospital, Chandel.

During the visit, a meeting was held with the district Administration, district level officers and health project partners, during which various primary and subsidiary health-related issues were discussed.

During the visit, the team visited different departments and wards of the hospital. The team reviewed the health schemes of the Central government and interacted with the doctors, nurses, technicians and other staff of the hospital.

A tree plantation programme was also organised in the hospital campus as a part of the visit.

Speaking to the media, Dr Bharati Pravin Pawar said that the government, under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has introduced many healthcare and welfare schemes for the people.

Dr Pawar said the government aims to bring a high-quality healthcare system in the country. Chandel district, being the only selected aspirational district in the state will have the required infrastructures soon. Officials and stakeholders concerned will be instructed and discussed for bringing a new change, she added.

Dr S Ranjan told reporters said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision for Digitisation of healthcare system will be successfully achieved. All possible help will be extended to achieve the goal for a quality healthcare system, the minister maintained.

Ministerial team also includes director Health Services, Manipur Dr K Rajo Singh; state mission director, NHM, Manipur Dr Somorjit Ningombam; deputy director Dr Prabin, other officials and staff of health department. Later, the team also paid a visit to Khongjom War Memorial Complex. (DIPR)
