A combined team of 4th Assam Rifles and special commando unit, Khabeisoi, on Saturday arrested an active cadre of an proscribed underground organisation RPF-PLA from Keibi Maning Leikai near community hall in Imphal East.
The arrested person has been identified as one Ningthoujam Chinglensana Singh alias Senloi Singh, 22, son of N Dharam Singh of Singda Kadangban, Imphal West district.
Police informed that Senloi was arrested based on an input received from the 4th Assam Rifles regarding the presence of one suspected cadre of RPF/PLA in the general area of Keibi Maning Leikai, Imphal East.
Senloi disclosed that he is an active member of RPF/PLA and received basic military training at Eastern Naga, Nagaland. He further disclosed that he is working under the command of one Major Sagei and Major Boicha of the same outfit. He was posted at 259 Bn HQ of Eastern Naga, Nagaland.
The combined team has handed over the arrested person to Sagolmang police station for further necessary legal action.
