Mid-Day meal cooks and helpers of Thoubal on Sunday staged a sit-in protest at the gate of Thoubal DC, demanding hike in salary.

The protest was organised by the Mid-Day Meal Workers Union, Thoubal district as a part of the protest initiated by the All Manipur Mid-Day Meal Workers Union with the demand for increase in the salary of all Mid-Day meal cooks and helpers in the state.
