The third round of meeting on the proposal received on ‘Rationalisation of Polling Stations’ as a part of pre-activity in connection with Special Summary Revision of Photo Electoral Roll - 2023 of Tamenglong and Noney districts was held at the Conference Hall of Deputy Commissioner office Tamenglong on Wednesday.
Meeting on rationalisation of polling stations, which was chaired by the deputy commissioner Tamenglong, received as many as 19 proposals for creating new polling stations by bifurcation from different polling stations.
Some individuals came for changing their nomenclature, and their proposals were discussed one-after-another.
The deputy commissioner Tamenglong Pawan Yadav said that they are not authorised to change or create new polling stations but will definitely recommend.
The meeting was attended by representatives from different political, parties including BJP, Congress, NPF and NPP, etc. village authority chairman and secretary.
Electoral Registration Officers (EROs), Assistant Electoral Registration Officers (AEROs) of Tamenglong, Tousem, Nungba, Khoupum, Noney also attended the meeting.
