The Assam Rifles on Wednesday organised a medical camp at Pukhao Terapur village with an aim to address the medical requirements of the locals who are deprived of basic healthcare amid the prevailing ethnic unrest.
The locals of Pukhao Terapur village and people staying in nearby Meitei relief camps who do not have access to medical care due to lack of resources availed the free medical consultation, treatment and free medicines provided during the medical camp.
Around 471 people, including 238 women and 167 children, were attended to by the team of specialist doctors of Assam Rifles during the medical camp.
