As many as 60 candidates missed the Manipur Civil Service Combined Competitive (Preliminary) Examination 2022 conducted by the Manipur Public Service Commission on Sunday at DM College of Arts and Science, as the authorities allegedly denied them entry.
According to the candidates who missed the exam, they arrived at the DM College exam centre in time but due to a rally conducted by the NCC at the DM College campus, the entrance road was blocked and hence, they were unable to reach ahead of the scheduled time.
They alleged that the gate of the examination centres was found closed more than 10 minutes before the examination scheduled time.
Some of the candidates were denied entry on the ground of not carrying an Aadhaar card and other identity proof, they said, adding that the rules and regulations of the examination did not mention Aadhaar cards and other identity proof by candidates as mandatory.
The candidates who missed the Sunday’s examination drew the attention of the state government to make alternative arrangement to enable them to appear the examination.
