MCPCR calls for protecting rights and needs of children staying in relief camps in strife-torn Manipur

The MCPCR has expressed the need for proper food, nutrition, safe drinking water, proper sanitation and health check-ups and adequate healthcare facilities for children staying in relief camps across the state.

The Manipur Commission for Protection of Child Rights (MCPCR) has called for providing holistic care to those displaced children staying in relief camps amid the prevailing unrest in the state.

The MCPCR on Wednesday issued a notification to all district administration, stakeholder departments, including social welfare, health, PHED, Home, Education and relevant government institutes to initiate proactive responsibilities in providing holistic care to those children staying in relief camps throughout the state.

The commission expressed the need for proper food, nutrition, safe drinking water, proper sanitation and health check-ups and adequate healthcare facilities for children staying in relief camps across the state.

It appealed to all CWCs and DCPOs to take initiatives in protecting the rights and needs of children staying in relief centres in the state.
