MCDA seeks government intervention for safe transportation of medicines

MCDA appeals to the general public and pharmacies to avoid panic buying and selling of medicines.

The Manipur Chemist & Druggist Association (MCDA) has appealed to the authorities concerned to take up necessary steps for the safe arrival of trucks carrying medicines which are stranded on the highways due to the communal clash prevailing in the state.

MCDA president Rakesh Rajkumar said in a release that the organisation has been seeking quick intervention from the state government to provide all kinds of medicines abundantly as most of the life saving drugs are out of stock.

The release also mentioned that MCDA has been extending necessary assistance like medicines, eatable items, clothes, shoes, sanitary napkins and many more to the relief camps in different parts of the state.
