As incessant rain continued in Manipur, more landslides occurred at different locations in Tamenglong district on Thursday.
The Tamei-Tamenglong road, also called IT road, was cut off on Thursday as a massive landslide took away more than 30 feet of the road portion between Kabonram and Machenglong.
Normal life has been paralyzed in Tamenglong district due to power outage and no cellular network is available in Tamenglong.
All BSNL services landline, broadband, mobile cellular network have been suspended for a week. Other private companies, including AIRTEL and JIO, also suspended their services.
All official works remained pending due to lack of telecommunication in the district. Banking services were suspended for the last two days due to lack of internet connectivity.
Locals drew the attention of the government while struggling to survive natural calamities.
