The Patriots’ Day was also observed at Saraswati Bal Mandir. The function was organised by Purvottar Aayam, Manipur Chapter to commemorate the martyrs and freedom fighters of the 1891 Anglo-Manipur War.
The function was presided by Prant Sahakaryavah, Delhi Prant Anil Gupta, stated a release.
The speakers on the dais were JNU professor O Bhagat and Lok Sabha director Dachhabanta Samom, it stated. This is for the first time such a function was organised by Purvottar Aayam, it mentioned.

About 200 Manipuris in Delhi attended the solemn function. They paid floral tribute to the martyrs and heroes of the Anglo Manipuri War of 1891, it added.
